more pretending
music
Nolan is very musical. We have been taking music classes for some time now, and he loves to practice the songs and instruments at home. He is constantly playing the guitar and keyboard.
He requests songs to hear on the radio too. He always requests the "hello" song, "goodbye" song, "clean up" song, and "la la" song.

pretending
Nolan loves to pretend, and will play for a long time with his houses, farms and garages. He has taken his pretend play to a whole new level! Not only does he pretend things are other objects (he uses my eyelash curler as a phone), but he is starting to pretend that he is an animal.
We took these short fences out of our garden in an attempt to make the house look better, and they took on a whole new life.
Nolan stands inside of them and pretends to be a horse. He asks to have an apple to eat, and neighs.
Airplanes
Nolan loves to spot airplanes flying through the air. We live very close to the Willow Grove air base, so we are lucky enough to have planes flying very close to our house several times a day. We went to the historical aircraft museum to see some planes up close. Nolan loved it! We got to sit in a helicopter and look at all of the controls.

Rudolph
Blue's Clues
Nolan has a new love in his life! It is Blue. We started watching TV two weeks ago. I turned it on out of desperation to stay in bed a few more minutes on Saturday. Nolan loves it. He has never watched TV before and shown an interest. Now every time he sees the clicker he says "a cue cue" and does spirit hands, just like Steve does on the show. We watch one episode a day. I have to say I am amazed at the things Nolan picks up from the show. He has a new interest in mailboxes. Now when we take walks he looks at mailboxes! He also reads the "stop" signs and looks for rocks, sticks and squirrels.
Halloween...here we come
We are getting our decorations out for Halloween very slowly. Nolan loves the ghosts and witches and cats. He says "boo" every time we see a pumpkin or ghost. He loves the light up pumpkin we have. He even loves trying on his Halloween costume. We are working on "roaring" so he can act like a dragon.
On a different note he can also now identify Santa Claus. When Nolan sees Santa he says "ho, ho ho."

twins
People seem to be split on whether Nolan looks like me or Matt. Maybe if I dress them the same, everyone will think he looks like Matt!
Here they are celebrating Chase's party which was really fun. Nolan loved the moon bounce. It took him a while to get warmed up to it. He didn't want to go on. But once we got him in, he had so much fun. He played with the other kids and imitated their movements.
