gorilla boy

Nolan has taken to imitating a gorilla by pretending to burp. I few weeks ago Nolan let out a big bubble and Grandmom told him he sounded like a gorilla. Since then he pretends to be a gorilla every day. He says "I'm just like a gorilla" and makes this horrible loud noise.

spring

With spring weather finally here, Nolan is enjoying feeling the grass on his toes.
At his two year appointment on April 10 he was 37 inches tall and 30 pounds.
Some funny things Nolan is saying now:
"no mommy it's actually a truck"
"I just want to feel the grass on my toes"
"I'm just saying no"
"Silly Daddy and Nolan took Mommy's car"

Daddy is 30

Matt turned 30 on April 16.
No surprise party for him, but he did get a new tv and a monster truck. I am not sure who is enjoying the truck more, Matt or Nolan. When Nolan wants a turn to drive he says, "I want to work like a team." This is the phrase I use with him to get past the "do it by myself" phase he is in.

Easter

Nolan's 3rd Easter was a lot of fun. We had a great egg hunt with all of his cousins and ate a lot of food at Grandmom's house.

Easter Eggs

We dyed our Easter Eggs late on Saturday night. Nolan was very excited to get into those cups of dye. He spent a lot of time coloring each egg and add sparkles and stickers after it was dyed.
Look at how Daddy and Nolan both concentrate very hard on the project at hand. They also both stick out their tongues when they are concentrating.

Nolan is 2

Nolan's 2nd birthday was wonderful. We woke up in the morning and opened presents which was so fun. We sang happy birthday all day (this is one of his favorite songs to sing, and he can sing the whole thing by himself now). We went to Chic-Fil-A with Michael and Robby, and then we went to a doctor's appointment. The doctor who saw us was the same doctor who delivered Nolan 2 years ago on Easter Sunday.
At night when Daddy got home we had dinner and sang Happy Birthday about 16 times with candles. Nolan can even sing some of the Schanberger extended versions of Happy Birthday complete with hand motions.

birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's

Nolan had his 2nd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's. He absolutely loves it there. On several occasions he has woken up in the morning and said "let's go to Chuck E Cheese's tonight". He was so excited to get there and see his friends. On the way he said "I want to see mine friends" over and over.
The party turned out great. The kids played and ran around and had a blast. Nolan was so excited when Chuck E Cheese came out to sing happy birthday. Of course we sang two times!

the trampoline

Nolan got a trampoline from Grandmom for his 2nd birthday. He wanted to jump on it the minute it came out of the box, but of course he had to wait for it to be set up.
When he finally got on, he was a crazy nut. He jumps, runs, wipes out (throws his body all around purposely) and crawls on the trampoline. He likes to bounce with Mommy and Daddy but reminds us, "not too rough, be gentle"
This morning when we woke up, Nolan told me that he and Daddy were going to lay in bed and watch Barney. Then he said, "Mommy go get breakfast and bring it to bed"
I have no idea where he comes up with these ideas, but he and his Daddy were treated to the royal treatment of breakfast in bed at his request.

Mini Mommy

Nolan is really beginning to say a lot of the things that I say.
Just today he said:
Mommy I'm checking mine email
No Rudy, stop your nonsense

three boys

When I watch these three together wrestling and jumping and being completely nutty, it makes me realize that this is my future in a few short months. Wow, what a ton of energy three boys can have together. And of course a lot of love!

party magic

Nolan has found a new hangout....party magic! This warehouse full of moon bounces is a close second to Chuck E Cheese's. He can climb up every slide and complete almost all of the obstacle course by himself.
When we go, he runs for 90 minuets straight. Talk about a workout!

grocery lists

Nolan has a new fascination with grocery lists. He loves to have a paper and pen and write out a list of food he will buy at the store. When we play outside, he asks me for a grocery list then gets in his car to go to the store and get the food. When he gets back, he lets me sample all of the food he bought.
