carving the pumpkins

Nolan did not like carving the pumpkins this year. He hated the slimy seeds and did not want to stick his hand inside the pumpkin at all. I was very surprised by this because very few things seem to bother him. Nolan picked the shapes for the face and loved to see the pumpkin glowing.
Bryce loved carving the pumpkin. He put his hand right in and then licked the pumpkin.

halloween at music

we dressed up in our costumes to go to music. Nolan had been asking to wear his vampire costume out and now he finally had the opportunity. He just loves telling people "I want to suck your blood"

pumpkin fest

We stumbled upon the shady brook farm pumpkin fest. We intended to simply pick a pumpkin, but ended up at a carnival with pig racing, a corn maze, bouncers, a hay ride and tractors to sit on. Nolan had a blast. He loved walking through the muddy corn maze and sitting on the tractor. He was also proud of carrying his pumpkin on his own.
Bryce was fascinated by the feel of the pumpkin and the leftover pumpkin vines in the pumpkin patch.

Happy 5 Month Birthday, Bryce!

Wow, Bryce is 5 months old! We celebrated by hanging around the house and then meeting Jen and Taylor at the playground followed by dinner at Peace a Pizza.
So far, Bryce is a pretty calm and happy guy. He still loves to be held, kissed and snuggled. Now he is also interested in moving and exploring. He is an octopus and seems interested in trying everything we are eating. He hasn't had any food yet, but loves to lick the fruit we are eating and drink out of our water glasses. He gets pretty angry if he can't have the food we are eating.
He also laughs a lot! He loves to be tickled and given zubers. His laugh is so sweet and such a joy to hear.

The plank

I didn't catch a great picture of it, but Bryce can now do "the plank" He is so strong!

moving in circles

Bryce can now navigate himself in a circle as he explores his toys. When I put him on the floor, it is only seconds before he is on the move!

cookies and candy land

Can one night get any sweeter?
We made homemade chocolate chip cookies to help Nolan put on a little weight. He hasn't gained any weight in 6 months.
Nolan loves to play candy land, and Bryce is more than happy to sit and watch while he rolls and scoots on the floor. He was also happy to sit and talk to our light up pumpkin for a while!
