Nolan's tricks

Everyday he is doing new and funny tricks. Some things Nolan loves to do right now are: open and close cabinets, put things in and out of holes, say gaga and dada and bub (no mama yet), babble very loudly in stores, point and reach for things, play with balloons, try to get in the dog water, feed the dogs his dinner, feed mommy is dinner, put spoons in and out of the dishwasher, turn the lights on and off and maneuver over and around chairs. He is a very funny little guy and is still always on the move.
At our last doctor's appointment, on January 14, he was 19 lbs 9 oz. and 29 inches long. His weight just can't keep up with all his movement. His favorite food is still avocado. He also likes vanilla and banana yogurt, crackers, cheese crunchers, nectarines, peas, bananas, apples, applesauce, pizza crust, cheese, carrots and spaghetti. This list seems to change daily. Foods go from a like to dislike overnight. He loves to drink water!

a boy and his toys

Nolan just figured out how to work his remote control Scoop. He has enjoyed watching me drive it around, but on Monday, he figured out how to push the buttons all by himself. We also tried out this "vintage" car which he really likes. The wheels make clicking noises as it drives which really catches his attention.

look at that standing

He really has it down. He barely even rocks anymore.

let me assess this situation a little further

Nolan loves snow. He gets very excited when it starts to snow and goes to the windows to check it out. He squeals with delight and bounces up and down. He looks from every angle to see just what is happening. When I opened the door to let him touch the snow, he was not as fascinated.

crazy legs

He has always been "crazy legs Gerstberger." Here, he is just proving it once again

fun fun fun

Nolan has 3 great cousins that he loves to spend time with. Here he is with Michael. It is very interesting to watch the two of them discover the world together. They have already started wrestling each other. Who knew boys were so boy like at this age?

little music makers

Nolan loves playing with the drum set from Grandma and Grandpap. He bangs the sticks on everything. He is very into musical instruments right now. He also carries a maraca around the house and bangs it on everything.
In music class, Nolan bangs the drums and shakes the shakers. He loves music class and smiles the whole time. Maybe he will take up an instrument in time.

swimming again

Swimming started up again and Nolan still loves it. Michael loves it too, he splashed around like a wild man!

Happy Birthday Aunt Krissy

Aunt Krissy turned 31 and we spent some family time celebrating

Happy 9 Month Birthday

Today Nolan is 9 months old, and what a fantastic 9 months it has been. This month, he has become even more cuddly which is new for Nolan because he is such a mover. WHen I lay on the carpet with him, he will lay his head on my chest and then look at me and smile. He still has a smile that can melt a heart!
And 4 big teeth as you can see. There are two more that will be popping out any day now. He is also very close to walking and can walk around the table 5 times in a row. He stands unassisted for about 30 seconds and yesterday stood up independently in the bathtub!

Nolan smiles almost all the time. What a great smile he has too. Here he is going all around the table...moving, moving, moving! This is right after dinner. In between taking off clothes and cleaning his face!

A visit with Mom Mom

All kids love Mom Mom, and Nolan is no exception. Just look at how much fun he is having!

Nolan's first Christmas

Nolan had a wonderful first Christmas. He did a little present opening with a lot of help from his trusted pal Rudy! Now we have so many toys we need a new and bigger house.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Grandmom and made hand aND footprints. Then it was off to church
