two month check up

Bryce had his two month check up on August 5. He is now 15 lbs. 12 oz., and 24.75 inches long.
He is growing like crazy! Just look at all the rolls he has.

in the car

I won't include a picture of Bryce in the car because he continues to scream for most of the ride. Somethings that calm him down are:
sucking on my nose
hearing strange noises that Nolan and I make
a vibrating dog toy

He has now figured out how to work the dog toy on his own with his feet. He stares right at it and concentrates very hard to get his feet onto the button to activate the jiggling and barking. He can now tolerate 10 minute rides without screaming thanks to this little dog!

PS- he actually does smile a lot, just not when the camera is out

Bryce's baptism

Bryce was baptized on August 9, 2009. He was an adorable little angel and didn't cry at all.

reaching out

Bryce has started reaching out to the toys on his exersaucer. It didn't take him long to get the hang of it. He can even spin the spinner by himself!

the wading pool and hot air balloons

Bryce finally got into the action at Sesame. He took a dip in the wading pool with no complaints. He is definitely a baby that likes water. He loves the bath too so I actually use it as a way to calm him down at times.
Nolan's favorite ride right now is the hot air balloons. When he found out we were going to take Taylor to Sesame, this is the ride he wanted to take her on. Neither of them look too happy in this picture, but Nolan did enjoy himself on the ride.

Bryce in the exersaucer

Bryce tried out the exersaucer for the first time and seemed to really love it. He was able to hold his head up pretty well and even look at and hit some of the toys. Look at all of the rolls he has on his arms. He has an equal number of rolls on his legs.

the aquarium

We went to the Baltimore Aquarium and Nolan was most excited to see the dolphins. He looked around with Remy and loved looking at the dolphins and the jellyfish. Bryce also enjoyed looking at the bright fish for the few minutes he was awake.

little engineer

Nolan has really gotten into wearing costumes, and this is one of his favorites. He calls the other engineers on his radio and then choo choos around the rug in our front hall. He can go around and around for quite some time.

painting

ever since we went to the Please Touch Museum, Nolan loves to paint. Here he is making a one of a kind creation.

mr smiley

finally caught that smile!

Mr Social

Bryce is very social. He loves to talk to me and Nolan during the day. If he is not sleeping he wants to be face to face with us or one of his favorite toys. He is starting to enjoy talking to the lion on his exercise mat and the frog on his bouncer.

our favorite girl

Nolan still asks to play with Taylor every day. In the past he would run away from her when she tried to hug and kiss him. Now he lets her feed him, hug him and kiss him. How cute to watch their interactions!

tummy time

This is what tummy time has turned into! Bryce wants to be a belly sleeper so when I put him on his belly, he simply lays his head down and relaxes. I don't think this is really helping with strengthening his neck so it is a good things that he is already so strong.

Bryce's favorite position

He is most happy like this!

Remy

Nolan loves Remy from the movie Ratatouille.
Katie gave Nolan Remy, and they have been fast friends since. Remy is Nolan's "baby." Nolan breast feeds Remy, puts him in the swing, sings to him, lets Remy take turns with Bryce on the exercise mat, and sleeps with him at night.
We definitely get some funny looks when people see Nolan carrying a big rat!

Bryce at Sesame

Here is how Bryce spends the majority of his time at Sesame Place.

Happy 2 Month Birthday, Bryce!

Bryce is 2 months old. He looks huge in this picture.
He has become quite the social boy. He smiles and talks and laughs. Bryce still prefers to spend the majority of his day sleeping and is happiest when he is being held or in the baby bjorn. He like to be held upright and complains if I try to cradle him. He loves to study moving objects like the fan and the airplane in his nursery.

baby bumbo

We tried Bryce in the Baby Bumbo, and although he didn't complain at all, it really doesn't look comfortable.
