shape sorter

Nolan has figured out how to do the shape sorter. He was able to do stuffed shape sorter before because the pieces can be pushed into any hole, but now he can do the plastic ones. He needs to be pointed to the right hole and then he can manipulate the piece to fit.
He also love being cheered for, and will repeat something over and over when Mommy and Daddy cheer him on.

tongue

Nolan has known how to stick his tongue out and blow raspberries for quite some time. However, he has found a new interest in both of these activities. He walks around the house with his tongue out most of the day!

Easter

We celebrated Easter with my Mom. We had a beautiful day. We went to church, had breakfast, played, had lunch and a quick Easter egg hunt. Nolan found 2 eggs!

Dying Easter Eggs

We dyed our Easter eggs on Saturday night, and Nolan was a natural. I have very fond memories of dying eggs with my Dad, so it was a very special occasion for me. Nolan colored on his egg, and even chose the color he wanted to use. His is the green egg.

chocolate kisses

Nolan loves chocolate! Of course I only let him have a small bite of a Hershey's kiss every few days, but he likes to ask for it. And he always leaves the evidence on his lips!

it's not fair

That's what Nolan says when Rudy won't let him have one of her toys. He just doesn't believe me when I tell him that he can't get mad because it is hers!

Spring?

We have been out enjoying the beautiful weather, and Nolan still loves it outside. When he was a newborn, walking outside was a good way to calm him. Now he loves to walk on the patio, watch the birds and touch the grass.

Ring Stacker

He has figured it out, along with the nesting blocks. He is a very determined little guy and will sit with a task for 5 minutes! Yesterday he put a plastic Easter egg together.

everybody's park

We went to Everybody's Park this weekend for Nolan to try out the playground again. His favorite is still the swing. He is not yet interested in the slide or the seesaw.

naked boy

Nolan hates getting his diaper changed because it just takes too long. He would rather be up exploring. This is often how he looks when he is walking around the house. After I get the diaper off and his bottom wiped, he gets up to walk for a minute before I wrestle him down again!

dog bed replacement

As you all know, Nolan loves to lounge on the dog bed. I have been experimenting with different pillows on the ground for him to lounge on instead of the dog bed. This is what he thinks about relaxing on another pillow

daddy is home

Every afternoon around 5 when Matt is on his way home, the dogs start to get excited. They check at the door and get ready to jump all over when he walks through the door. Nolan has picked up on this excitement and gives Daddy a great greeting when he gets home!

bust a move

Nolan has become a real dancing fool! At the wedding he had multiple partners including: Mommy, Daddy, Grandmom, Robby, and Katie.

Happy 11 Month Birthday

Wow, time flies. We can't believe that our baby is already 11 months old. We are even planning his 1st birthday already!
Nolan celebrated at a Brown family wedding where he danced and visited with relatives.
At 11 months old, Nolan has become quite a joker. He likes to dance to the beat of music, and at dinner he bobs his head. If someone laughs, he will do it again. He likes to cuddle with his puppies and loves walking!
He also likes to play with rubber duckies, and has one in his crib, his toy box and the tub!

Funny Boy

Nolan likes to take glasses off of people and try them on himself!

ice cubes

Nolan has discovered the joy of chewing on ice cubes. This is a new favorite for him, thanks to Dad.
Nolan points at a cup and demands ice. The ice cube has to be broken into a smaller piece, and then he chews away. As soon as it is finished he asks for another.

sticky hands

This morning for breakfast Nolan had french toast. Not only did he love the french toast, but he also loved the sticky syrup on his hands. He was conducting a little experiment while he ate!

new challenges

Nolan is becoming an expert walker. Now that he can walk without falling, he has added a new challenge...carrying things. After he chooses an item to carry he likes to put it on the couch, then take it down, then put it back up!

the dog bed

I am not sure what he loves about the dog bed, but he really loves it. Nolan gets on the dog bed and lounges. When you go to get him, he smiles like he has found heaven on earth. Only one problem, he isn't actually allowed on the dog bed.

What an adorable little guy! He is always making some kind of face, usually a very serious scientific face.

mommy's little helper

Nolan loves to watch and climb all over the vacuum. Yesterday he used it all by himself!
