i love moving

Bryce loves to move. He roles around on the floor and scoots and tries to reach for everything he can. The crazy part is that he doesn't crawl. He can't seem to coordinate the legs and arms together. He is able to make some very strange attempts. He pushes up his hiney. He lifts up on leg an twists it around. He squishes he head into the floor.
Still no crawling.

squishy

It is pretty squishy and fun with 3 kids on a chair.

6 month check up

At Bryce's 6 month check up (which was 3 weeks late) he was 19 lbs 12 oz and 27 1/4 inches long. He is at the 75th percentile for both height and weight.
Dr. Mathews says that he is right on target with all of his milestones

our tree

We brought our tree home and the boys were so excited. Just looking at it is thrilling to Bryce. He has loved to look at trees and leaves since he was just one or two months old riding in the baby bjorn. Now he has an up close look at one from the comfort of his own home. He excitedly squealed in his exersaucer and opened and closed his hands (this is his excited move)
Nolan was so happy to find pine cones!

snail

I bought this snail when Nolan was still in utero at a thrift store for ten dollars. I always thought it would just be a cute toy that sat and wasn't played with because it doesn't seem that exciting. I couldn't have been more wrong. Nolan rides it every day and moves it around in our upstairs rooms. You can never be sure if you will find the snail in a bedroom or a bathroom. Now Bryce is getting in on the fun too!

31

My big day was celebrated in style at the Porco house for lunch and dinner.
When we are all together there is no stopping the madness!

the boys' tree

We put up the boys' Christmas tree. Bryce loves staring at Christmas lights and Nolan learned how to hang the ornaments this year.

the Christmas Pageant

I really can't even write anything about this because there are not words to describe how cute it was

sundays

On Sundays Nolan, Michael and Bryce go to the church nursery together. They have to be together or they won't go. Just thinking about the craziness they stir up in there makes me giggle!

snow

We got our first taste of snow...just a dusting but I still love it!

a screaming match

is there anything else to say?

loving music class

Bryce has a new interest in music class because he loves to shake things! Anything that is within his reach he grabs and tries to shake. He is a little scientist testing everything out.
He had an especially fun time with these jingle bells.
Nolan loved it too of course because he knows all the words to jingle bells and loves to sing along.

Nolan says

Here is a little interview I gave Nolan:

Mommy: What's your favorite color?
Nolan: My favorite color is pink like raspberry ice cream

Mommy: What's your favorite food?
Nolan: Chinese

Mommy: What are you asking Santa to get you for Christmas?
Nolan: Um I am going to ask him for a new shopping cart because we have to get rid of our other one.

Mommy: What is your favorite stuffed animal?
Nolan: Remy is my favorite stuffed animal
Mommy: Remy is your favorite?
Nolan: Yes because I snuggle him a lot of times

Mommy: What is your favorite toy?
Nolan: The boat and the balls

Mommy: What is your favorite song?
Nolan: My favorite song is the one from the letter factory it goes "every letter makes a sound." Can you sing it to me?

adult

Nolan said "I am an adult now because I put on my own jacket"

riding the train

This is the first time that Nolan rode on a ride all by himself. He has matured so much since the summer!

Happy Thanksgiving

Bryce loved pumpkin pie and Nolan ate a little bit of everything!

fun in Pittsburgh

While we were in Pittsburgh we went to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. The dinosaur bones were incredible. Nolan loved running and talking about the skeletons though he definitely didn't understand how amazing it was. He called every skeleton a dinosaur, even if it was an elephant. He was also fascinated by the tag you wear while you are visiting.
Since Nolan was very young he has been interested in walruses. We have only ever seen them in books. We encountered a stuffed (but once live) walrus family in the museum and Nolan had no idea what they were.
After the museum we went to the original hot dog shop. The fries were awesome, and clearly Nolan loved them.

laughing

I just can't get enough of these two laughing together. It really brightens my whole day!

Happy 6 Month Birthday, Bryce!

Wow, 6 months! Is it even possible?
Bryce continues to grow so fast. He loves to giggle, loves to cuddle, loves to eat, loves to bang toys, loves to grab hair, loves things that are hanging like wind chimes, and loves to play with paper.
He doesn't like really loud noises.
