Bryce loves to fill containers with things and shake them out. He will entertain himself for quite some time with this fun game!

three year check up

Nolan had his 3 year check up (yes a month late) and is in great health.
He talked all the way to the doctor's office about the flu shot. He wanted to keep checking that he was not getting a flu shot that day.
He is 40 inches tall (90%) and 33 pounds (75%).
They also took his blood pressure which was fine.

rough and tough

Bryce is all boy. He loves wrestling, destruction, and rough play. When I think Nolan is being too rough, he is cracking up!
He even tries to climb up the slide instead of going down

mother's day

We all spent mother's day in Delaware with Mom Mom Brown. It was a fabulous day full of fun and love. We all rode the quad and dirt bike. We were chased by a goose, fed the horses, and saw parrots flying through the air. We spent time with Mom Mom and Mom.
Nolan loves to talk about Mom Mom turning 90 soon. He thinks it is the best number. Every time he talks about a big number, he chooses 90. He also loves to count to 90 to see how big it is!

bugs

Nolan found a caterpillar at a party. He held the caterpillar and let it walk on his hand for close to an hour. He talked to it sweetly and told the caterpillar that he loved it. Right now he loves bugs. No matter where we are, he is looking for bugs and picks them up to let them walk on his hands.

fun

Here we are having a great time at the Mabin's house. The boys both love the trucks. They could ride in them all day long.
The swing is also a big hit. Bryce loves to go fast and crazy, Nolan loves slow. Bryce screams when you take him out, Nolan holds on for dear life and screams if you go too fast!

baby Ashlynne

I am amazed at how much the boys love baby Ashlynne. They both want to be close to her. Nolan loves to hold her and Bryce pats her (mostly gently).
How sweet it is to see another member of our family grow up with so much love.

a picnic

the boys love to be outside, and they also love a picnic.
The last time we had a picnic, Bryce was not even able to sit up.
Now he digs right in, getting his hand on as many things as he can. He only has 5 teeth, but somehow he manages to eat.
Nolan loves picnics, but will only sit for a few minutes before he is off and playing

reading

Bryce has not always loved to read. He complains a lot about reading. I have to catch him at just the right minute (usually first thing in the morning) and have just the right book (one about babies or with flaps).
Recently he has really taken to it, he turns the pages, talks to the pictures, and loves to look at books himself. When I say, "let's read books" he walks right over to the couch, climbs up, and gets a book from the library bag!
