I finally captured Rudy and Nolan together. As much as Grandmom is going to hate this picture, I had to post it. These pictures capture what Nolan and Rudy do together........kiss!

Nolan's new tricks

Here is Nolan reaching for the camera while I am taking his picture. He has a new interest in adult things. Like phones, glasses (drinking and looking), cameras and food. He wants to grab it and get in in his mouth. He is pretty quick too. Here I got a picture of the inside of his mouth.

animals

Nolan has a new interest in the animals here at our house. When we play on the floor, Kitty, Rudy and Winston sit with us. I tried to capture the picture of all three, but couldn't get it. Here is Nolan looking at Winston. The surprising news is that Rudy is the best with him. She lets him pull her fur out, pull her ears, and bite her face. Winston keeps his distance.

Penn State here I come

Here is Nolan wearing his future alma mater's gear,
He is starting to enjoy tummy time because it is much easier for him now. He will stay on his tummy for 10 minutes without crying. He also reaches out for his toys while he is on his stomach.

Nolan and Matt play a laughing game together. Matt laughs, and then Nolan lets out a big belly laugh. Nolan loves this game!
Nolan also enjoys bouncing himself up and down on your lap. He can push himself up to stand. He is so stong!

Rice's

Today Nolan and I went to Rice's market with Grandmom, Aunt Krissy, and Michael. We got some new books and toys. Nolan had a lot of fun checking things out. After Rice's we went to the Pineville Tavern for lunch. This was my dad's favorite place to take us girls to lunch so it was very special to be there.
On Monday, Nolan had a doctor's appointment. He was 15lbs 6 oz, 26 inches, and his head was 16 and 1/2 inches. He is also right on target developmentally. Unfortunately he had more vaccinations so we cuddled all day yesterday and he slept. Today he is feeling back to himself.

dinner with Michael

On Sunday night we went out to dinner with Michael, Aunt Kristen, and Uncle Michael. We went to the Red Robin which was delicious and fun. Both babies were very good and slept for a lot of the dinner. Look at how cute they look on the bench together. Nolan has a lot of toys on his lap to help him in the car when he gets upset.

Here he is trying out the high chair again, and I swear he looks bigger than he did the first time. He is also sitting up taller.

Here is Nolan swimming for the second time at the Porco Pool. We went today for a quick dip and had a fabulous time! The pool is like a liitle slice of paradise. Nolan loves the pool. He kicks his feet and splashes with his hands.

fun in delaware

Yesterday we took a trip to Delaware to celerbrate Deanna's birthday. We had a good time picking crabs and wearing leis. Nolan is still fussing a lot in the car so I sat in the back with him. He is determined to suck on my lips, and so today I have a bruise on my top lip. You may wonder why I let him suck on my lips. The truth is I will do anything to help him in the car. He just hates it!

look at me

Nolan is fascinated by the camera, almost every time I take it out, he stops what he is doing to take a look at it. Today in his exersaucer, he worked the spinner all by himself, and very purposefully. It was not accidental, he wanted that thing to spin and he was making it!
He also blew three raspberries. He moves his mouth all day long mostly smacking his lips and tongue. This time he made raspberries!

is there anything I won't eat?

No, there is not anything he won't put in his mouth. He will try anything, even hair. I have to say, when Nolan's legs are up like this, it does make a diaper change a little more difficult. And he is so strong, it is hard to bring his legs back down.

Happy 4 Month Birthday

Today is Nolan's 4 month birthday! I can't believe it has already been this long. Where has the time gone?
He had a very special birthday this month. He spent time with Grandmom, Mom Mom, Katie, Robby, Michael, Aunt Krissy and Aunt Aimee.
At night, we had four candles in a tastykake blueberry pie.

the making of a genius...part 2

Nolan loves to sit in his bouncer seat. He talks to the animals and reaches out to touch them. In the past few days, he has taken a big interest in the parrot that hangs from the bottom. He has been trying to get this bird in his mouth since last Wednesday. He would talk to it, and reach out for it. Then he would begin to complain a little. Matt or I would pick up his head so he could get it in his mouth. Today, he figured out how to get it in his mouth all by himself. Yes, he may fall off of the bouncer this way, but he just wants to tasted that bird! He leans his body all the way over and then he can get it in his mouth.

Nolan is having so much fun reaching out to grab onto things. Some of his favorite things to grab are: my hair, my shirt, his spiderman, the cow, rooster and pig, and his dog on his changing table. He has also figured out that he can get his feet into his mouth. Today he responded to his name by looking right at me!

jump around

Nolan tried out the jumper for the first time today, and he loved it! Not only could he move around freely in it, he also had great reach of his hands and the seat to chew on. He was all smiles and coos while he played. Right now, Matt and I call him a Tyranasaurus Rex because he leads with his mouth. While he is standing on someone's lap, he bends right over with his mouth to chomp down on a body part. Sometimes a chin, sometime a finger, and he loves to chew on lips. He has a pretty strong bite for such a little guy.
