Adventure Aquarium
Nolan loves to watch the fish in our fish tank. Every morning he points to them and talks to them while we feed them. He asks to be picked up to get a better look and will spend 5 minutes just observing the fish swim all around.
Because he loves the little fish tank we figured the aquarium would be just his speed, and it was. He loved it. He is such a smart little boy. He looks at everything and likes to point and talk to it. We were surprised by how many things he noticed while we were looking. He especially loved watching the fish swim in schools.
Later that night we went out to dinner at the Cock n Bull. We haven't been there since our 1st wedding anniversary and it was so special to share the time with out little man.
Check out the pics of him in his car seat on the way to the aquarium. See how quickly he can change his emotions, and just by seeing the camera!
snow day
We finally had enough snow to try out sledding! Nolan loves to watch snow falling outside when he is warm and snuggly inside. He doesn't like to feel snow on his hands, and he really doesn't like going out in the snow. I am not sure if this is because he can't move in his snow suit or because he doesn't like the cold.
We went outside for 5 minutes to take a quick sled ride around the yard, and Nolan cried!

toys?
Nolan has always loved to play with non-toy items. Here he is playing with the blinds from the sliding glass door. Who knew they could be so much fun?
Also today, he played his first game of ball with Daddy, which had him belly laughing. Last Saturday he started playing with a ball at the bridal shower we attended. He pushes the ball with his hands and then chases it. Almost like soccer with hands.

one step
Nolan took his first step today. I knew this day would be here soon because he is such a mover, but I am still in shock that he actually took a step. Mom Mom was there to see it too! He was facing Mom Mom and showing her a candy bowl by pointing to it and talking. Then he took one side step to get closer, and he didn't even fall. I am not sure Nolan realized that he moved independently, but Mom Mom and I sure were excited. If walking follows the same pattern as his other movement, he will be running around the house by Saturday!
