mini vacation

Well kind of a mini vacation, if you count pumping as a relaxing time. Matt put Nolan to bed for the first time tonight. We are practicing for the night I go to my high school reunion. And it worked, Nolan didn't even cry. I don't know if I should cry about this or not.

Happy 7 Month Birthday + 1 day

We didn't get to put candles in a cupcake for Nolan yesterday because we got the flu shot instead. So here he is....7 months and one day!

Turning around

Now that Nolan is a mover, he loves to go in all directions. Sometimes he is not sure which way to go so he turns around many times!

pulling up

Nolan has started pulling himself up. Today, he pulled himself up to his feet two times. He used our laundry basket full of socks. First he dug through all the socks and tasted a few, and then he stood on his feet. He didn't fall over either!
I wasn't able to catch him on his feet because I didn't have my camera out, but here he is right after the big event.

Getting out a camera is a sure way to get Nolan to stay still. At all other times he needs to be moving.
In this picture, you can see he still does the whole body smile. The difference is that now when he leans back, he doesn't fall over. He is strong enough to keep himself up!

Carrot Man

Nolan started carrots, and he loves them! He is not especially fond of eating, but carrots are his favorite. Nolan prefers to be an independent eater so things are very messy. This is very hard for me because I hate food on faces, but he looked very funny!
